As part of our first-shift assembly and packing team, this position is essential to making sure the correct instructions, hardware, and necessary items go out with each shipment..

Responsibilities:

• Determine correct bag for each fixture to ensure safe shipping without damage to products
• Bag completed lighting assemblies to include work orders and fixtures
• Pays attention to detail and quality of fixtures prior to bagging
• Routes orders to packing department once bagged with the direction of Assembly Leads
• Makes sure all bin tags and reorder tags are turned in once new packaging is opened to assist in maintaining accurate inventory
• Notifies Supervisor when packing material is running low
• Attach all accessory parts and packing labels as well as ensure instructions are packed into the coordinating fixture box
• Operate all packing machines efficiently and correctly
• Complete all necessary paperwork
• Utilize computer software for all record keeping purposes
• Prints daily shipping report (Shop 5) and plans out work day accordingly
• Creates and/or follows pallet plans for larger Sales Orders
• Work closely with shipping department to plan work loads coming through
• Notifies appropriate personnel when problems arise with packing fixtures
• Notifies appropriate personnel of projected delays in shipping product

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude
• Strong and consistent work record (including good attendance)
• Computer literacy
• Accuracy, careful handling and attention to detail
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Manual dexterity
• Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly (occasionally more)
• Able to climb, bend, twist and stand all day
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a cooperative team
